Parent Teacher Conferences
The students raised a grand total of $16,532. This definitely surpassed our goal. The students and classrooms who raised the most money are listed below. Great job students, parents and staff! Even though the weather wasn't the best, everyone had a great day!
Congratulations to Sarah Boyd, 6th grade gifted teacher, on receiving the Lester Crown MSI Distinguished Teacher Award. Sarah was one of seven teachers awarded this for demonstrating extraordinary dedication to her students and the teaching profession. There was an award ceremony held at the Museum of Science and Industry to honor the recipients. Congrats again Sarah, Healy is very proud of you!
On September 28, 2016, De LaSalle High School hosted its "Academic Contest Game Show Night." Over a hundred students from private and public schools participated in teams of four to challenge each other in core subjects and trivia. The top four teams were awarded medals, and everyone received a t-shirt. Healy students took half the medals, placing in 2nd and 3rd place.
The 2017-2018 school year is off to a great start! Our overall attendance for the month of September was 98.36%. Students with perfect attendance (no absences and no tardies) received awards and their names were entered in our attendance raffle for a chance to win a grand prize at the end of the quarter. Each month a student has perfect attendance will increase their chances of winning the raffle. Please make sure your child is in school everyday on time. Let's keep up the momentum and make this a successful year!

20% For 20% Campaign Info
Despite having nearly 20% of students, CPS receives only 15% of education funding.CPS is the only district in the State required to pay for its own pensions. If CPS were funded like the rest of Illinois children, it would receive an additional $500 million from the State in FY 17.

We recommend parents to visit the CPS Parent Portal to monitor their child attendance, as well as their academic progress. Please contact the main office for information on how to access this portal.
New Photo Visitor Passes
The safety of Healy students, staff, parents and the school community is our #1 priority. As such, we have purchased a new photo visitor pass system for both the annex and the main building. Beginning Monday, December 7th, the front desk security in both buildings will be taking a picture of each visitor who enters the school building. This photo will be printed on a temporary visitor pass sticker that all visitors will be required to wear while in Healy buildings. We strongly believe this is going to help us maintain a more secure environment in our school. All visitors are required to complete this process in order to access any of our buildings.
